Konami cooking up Suikoden V
The popular RPG series is returning once again to the PlayStation 2, with another batch of 108 NPCs.
Konami is developing Suikoden V for the PlayStation 2, according to the latest issue of Shonen Jump magazine. No release date has been set yet, but development seems to be going well, and the game will be playable at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show September 16-18.
Suikoden V takes place in the Falena Queendom, and like previous installments, the player will recruit 108 non-player characters on his or her voyage. The player's objective in Suikoden V will be to collect pieces of the "Star of Destiny," which are scattered throughout the game.
The player takes the role of the Falena Queendom's prince, who leads a peaceful life until he is caught in an incident, which begins his adventure. An illustration in the magazine shows the prince having silver hair and a slim physique, despite being a physical fighter with a three-section staff. The magazine also revealed two other characters: Ashtert Falenas, the ruler of the Falena Queendom, who has silver hair like her son, and Leion, a dark-haired female swordfighter who works as the prince's bodyguard
